Codington County Heritage Museum
Preserving and promoting the history of Codington County, South Dakota. Learn more about the town and surrounding area where Terry Redlin grew up. Located in the former Carnegie Library, a 1906 example of Classical Revival Architecture, in uptown Watertown. Admission is FREE, donations are appreciated. Phone: (605) 886-7335


Bramble Park Zoo and Indoor Discovery Center
One of only two zoos in South Dakota! Located along SD Highway 20 in Northwest Watertown. Come experience over 500 mammals, reptiles, and birds, along with a special Children's Area. Concessions, playground, and picnic areas on grounds. Animal encounters held on weekends. Summer Hours 9 AM to 8 PM, Winter Hours 10 AM to 4 PM. Phone: (605) 882-5232


The Mellette House, home of Arthur Mellette, the last governor of the Dakota Territory and first governor of South Dakota, has been beautifully restored and furnished just as the Mellette family lived in it. Open May to October, Tuesday through Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is FREE; donations are accepted.
