TERRY REDLIN'S VIDEO, "AN AMERICAN PORTRAIT", WINS TELLY AWARD!
Terry Redlin’s newest video production, “An American Portrait” has earned a Telly Award. With a 25 year history of recognizing creative excellence, the Telly Award is one of the most sought after and highly respected international competitions honoring the finest video and film productions. This year over 10,000 entries were received from all 50 states and five continents. Judges evaluate entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Between 7% and 15% of the total entries are awarded Tellys.
“An American Portrait” highlights the making of Redlin’s newest series of seven paintings. Together, the paintings tell the story of a young American boy’s life from his first day of school to his call to serve with our nation’s armed forces. The series is based on the life experiences of the artist and those of his brother-in-law; however the story in many ways represents many Americans. “An American Portrait” is Terry Redlin’s tribute to Veterans and Veterans families.
The Redlin Art Center is proud to feature complimentary showings of “An American Portrait” daily. This new, award-winning production will soon be released on DVD and will be available at the Redlin Art Center.
